Commercial fencing in Elk Grove
Elk Grove runs its commercial and industrial work along the Highway 99 corridor, from the Grant Line Road area and the city’s Southeast Industrial Area to business parks like Iron Rock off Grant Line. Apple’s 83-acre campus, the largest employer in the city, anchors the kind of logistics, warehouse, and distribution sites that need secured perimeters, automated gates, and bollards at loading docks. Retail along Laguna Boulevard and East Stockton Boulevard, including Elk Grove Marketplace and Marketplace 99, carries trash enclosures, storefront railings, and ornamental iron at the frontages. Public work runs through the Elk Grove Unified School District, the largest district in Northern California, along with city facilities and the new Dignity Health hospital. We build for all of it: warehouses, yards, offices, retail centers, schools, and public sites.
Work we’ve done
A project we built in Elk Grove
For a residential community in Elk Grove, we tore out 185 feet of old perimeter fence, plus five wood columns and their footings, and replaced it with 185 feet of 7-foot curved-top commercial ornamental iron: 1-1/2-inch rails, 3/4-inch pickets, and 2-1/2-inch posts set in concrete, with an ADA pedestrian gate. A temporary fence kept the property closed off while we worked.

What we install in Elk Grove
- Ornamental iron fencing: welded steel and iron for commercial and office frontages.
- Chain link fencing: secure perimeters for yards, equipment, and storage.
- Commercial gates: swing, sliding, and pedestrian gates.
- Access control: operators, keypads, card readers, and loop detectors.
- Railings and handrails: guardrails, ADA handrails, and fall protection.
- Trash enclosures: metal dumpster and equipment enclosures.
- Bollards: steel pipe bollards for storefronts and loading docks.
Permits and public work
Commercial fence work inside the Elk Grove city limits is permitted through the City of Elk Grove Building Division (Building Safety and Inspection Services, 8401 Laguna Palms Way), not Sacramento County. Elk Grove incorporated in 2000 and runs its own building department, so plans go to the city. Fences over 7 feet generally require a building permit, and commercial projects go through plan review with electronic plan submittal.
