What makes fencing commercial
On a house, the fence comes off the shelf and follows the property line. On a commercial job the fence gets speced to the project. Chain link steps up to 9-gauge mesh on heavier framework. Gate openings get sized for trucks, not cars. The line has to match the plans. Posts get set by structure height and ground conditions: dug and concreted in dirt, core-drilled where the line crosses asphalt or concrete. Most of what we build is welded steel, fabricated in our own shop.
What we install
Ornamental iron and steel panel

Chain link
Galvanized or vinyl-coated chain link for storage yards, sports courts, and construction sites, with privacy slats or barbed wire tops where the job specs them. See chain link fencing.
Gates and access control
Swing and sliding gates in iron or chain link, automated with operators, keypads, and card readers when the entrance has to run unattended. See commercial gates and access control.
Railings, bollards, and enclosures

What commercial fencing costs
Every quote comes down to the same factors: the material (chain link runs the least, ornamental iron more), the height, the footage, what the posts go into (dirt is cheaper than core-drilled concrete), and how many gates sit in the line. What it costs: standard commercial ornamental iron runs roughly $40 to $120 per foot installed, 6-foot commercial chain link around $55 to $70 per foot on a full run, gate repair $800 to $3,000, fence repair $800 to $3,000, and a full access control setup typically $5,000 to $10,000 and up. Fence runs get quoted from footage and a site look or plans.

Working with GCs and facility managers
Most of our work runs as a sub under a GC’s contract. We bid from your plans and specs, carry the insurance certs the contract requires, and schedule around the other trades on site. If you manage a property instead, send photos and rough footage and we quote it directly.
How a job runs
Send plans, or photos with rough footage, and we price it remotely. If the scope is not clear from what you send, we walk the site first. Fabrication happens in our shop, and most jobs install within 2 to 4 weeks.

What does commercial fencing cost?

Chain link or ornamental iron for a commercial property?
It depends on the job. Budget, the look the property has to keep, and what the new line ties into decide it. Storage yards and construction sites usually run chain link; street-facing and tenant-facing property usually runs iron. Plenty of sites use both.
Do you work as a subcontractor?
Yes. Most of our jobs run under a GC’s contract: we bid from the plans, carry the required certs, and work to the site schedule.
Can you run prevailing-wage public jobs?
Yes. We are DIR-registered (#2000019849) and have worked for California State Parks and Recreation, the El Dorado Hills Fire Department, and Travis Air Force Base.
