Pricing

What an enclosure costs

The workInstalled
Gates for one enclosure, several enclosures on the same job$3,500 to $15,000 each
Enclosure and gate repairs$900 to $3,000

The size of the opening, how many enclosures, the finish, and what goes on top.

The bottom of the gate range is primer only and the top is painted. One enclosure on its own costs more per unit than four on the same job, because the crew, the truck and the fabrication setup get spread across all of them. A roof, a fence above the wall, or bollards are priced on top of the gates.

We had them out to repair a garbage enclosure. The office staff was responsive, and the guys that came out were thorough, professional, and did a beautiful job. I’d recommend them to anyone needing iron work.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What does a dumpster enclosure gate cost?

On a job with several enclosures, gates run about $3,500 to $15,000 each installed. Repairs run about $900 to $3,000.

Do you build the block wall?

No. We do the metal: gates, roofs, a fence above the wall, and bollards. The masonry and the concrete pad are somebody else’s trade, and permits are the owner’s or the general contractor’s.

Do you build new enclosures, or only gates?

Both. We hang gates on an existing block wall, and we build the whole enclosure in metal where a block wall is not wanted.

Why would I put a roof on my enclosure?

To stop outsiders from throwing their trash in your bins. When the wrong material ends up in a commercial bin the hauler charges for it.

Metal roof or chain link roof?

A metal roof is V-decking on a steel frame. A chain link roof is the same steel frame with chain link over it. The metal costs more and looks like part of the building. The chain link costs less.

Can you repair a gate the garbage truck hit?

Yes. Truck damage is the most common enclosure repair we take: sagging gates, gates knocked loose, and enclosures that have started to come apart.

Do you warranty your work?

Yes. We back our workmanship for one year.
